\nThe title of this year\u2019s edition of Modebelofte – \u2018Seductive Precursors\u2019 \u2013 underscores the importance of the pioneering creativity displayed by these talented designers. By experimenting, intuitively and conceptually, with techniques, materials, shapes and references they seduce us to immerse in their visions of possible fashions for a moment. Seductive Precursors play an important role in fashion\u2019s characteristic dynamic of perpetual renewal by convincingly connecting the familiar with the unfamiliar. The selected designers challenge us to consider our contemporary sense of self and our ideas about the wearability of objects in a progressive, fictitious or futuristic perspective.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/iframe> <\/p>\n<p>Modebelofte is a presentation of new fashion talents recently graduated from Dutch and international fashion institutions. Their experiments try to seduce us into their personal visions of the future of fashion. Most notable is the way it has been presented here, in its own little universe of suspended mannequins and dramatic lighting emphasising the silhouettes. With Modebelofte they bring the fashion design discipline in the context of Dutch Design Week. Modebelofte’s accent lies on innovation. By creating a platform for the most adventurous and visionary innovators from the latest generation of fashion talents during such an internationally well-attended design manifestation Modebelofte seeks the dialogue with likewise innovative companies, universities, media and the public.<\/p>\n<p> HEYNIEK and StudioHarmRensink<\/p>\n<p> For Modebelofte 2014 YOU ARE HERE chose to team up with visual designer Niek Pulles a.k.a.
